Operating a legitimate Internet business is important at the onset so that your reputation will always be credible. When sending mass emails, there are several ingredients to use in your newsletter or announcement:

1. Always include the legal name of your business.
2. Include your telephone number (local number as well as your toll free number).
3. Include your street address or mailing address.
4. Include legitimate removal instructions so that the reader can opt out.

Build your own email list. Don't purchase a CD with millions of email addresses on it. The best method to use in building your own email list is to place an online form on your web site whereby visitors to your site can request information on your product(s) or services. If you have a tourist related web site, place an online form on the site so that they can request visitor information about the area.
